RESEARCH, INNOVATIONS & EXTENSION
Research, Innovative & Extension activities are included in Criterion III
Research Activities:
The Research culture has been fostered in the institution, with constant encouragement to teachers and the students to indulge into research activities. Department of Home Science & department of Hindi are the registered Research Centers. Some of the departments of science are in pipeline for the same as the science stream has recently shifted to the present campus and the labs are being established with the same purpose. Registered Research Supervisors are 13 in all, including the Principal of the institution. About 11 research scholars have been already awarded their Ph.D. degrees in the last five years & 15 are in ongoing state. The faculty members try to get their Research papers & Review articles published in reputed Journals; and during the last 5 years the total number of publications has reached up to 163, with National being 55 and International 108.Some of the professors have their publications on Google Scholar & Research Gate with prominent citation and h-index. 18 Text-Books & Reference Books, authored or co-authored by some of the professors have been published in the last 5 years, with 1 being internationally published. The chapters published in reputed books & Edited Research volumes have been 17. 1 UGC sponsored Minor Research Project was completed and submitted by one of the faculties from Home Science in 2017.
Innovative Activities:
Innovative techniques and ideas have always been encouraged for implementation in teaching, learning and self help activities that create a unique Innovation Ecosystem in the campus. The programs and various workshops are conducted under the Skill development & Entrepreneurship activities. Our institution is collaborated with many agencies (MoU).
Extension Activities:
In the last 5 years, the college has contributed a lot in the special welfare and awareness of the students as well as the neighborhood community. The wide range of Extension activities through NSS, Red Cross and Women Cell have been impactful in sensitizing the students to social issues and holistic development. The AIDS awareness is attempted through rallies, lectures by renowned doctors and collaborating activities with Red Ribbon Club. NSS activities, camps in villages and involvement in ‘Swachh Bharat’ and ‘Voter Awareness’, make the students more responsible about their social duties.
